Chomp is a realistic fiction story by Carl Hiassan. Wahoo Cray, the main character, and his father Mickey Cray basically have a zoo in their backyard. Mickey is an animal wrangler, and Wahoo helps him with the animals. After his mom goes on a business trip, and his dad gets a concussion, Mickey gets hired by a TV show star, Derek Badger, and they go on a trip into the everglades to shoot a scene. Then Derek goes missing: Will they find him? This book is filled with people who love animals and cutthroat chase scenes. You will like this book if you love bad people getting punished, and weird names.

I recommend the book Wings of Fire: Moon Rising. It is about a dragon named Moonwatcher who goes to boarding school and is a telepath. Though this is book six in the Wings of Fire series, you don’t need to have read the other five. I liked the fact that the book waited a while to show who the villain was because that kept the suspense in the storyline. The other characters were all mainly outgoing and Moonwatcher made friends with them quickly. In summary, this was an amazing book and even though I read this at the beginning of the year, I would 100% read it again.

A book I really loved and I would recommend to most readers out there is A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin. The book is fantasy fiction and features a young boy named Ged, who was originally called Duny. Ged learned that he had a gift, and it was that he can cast spells and use the power of wizardry. Ged is then taught by a wizard master, Ogion, but Ged’s impatience and ambition lead him to try to cast a powerful spell, which ends up literally making his biggest enemy, an evil shadow of himself. I really liked this book because it felt like a movie. People who like fantasy books, or really any fiction book, will certainly enjoy this one.
